Activity Trainer 1.4 mostly contains some bug fixes and better support for Windows 7 and 64 bit computers. There were registration and launch problems under certain circumstances.
This update is a major software change that requires Administrative Privileges.
Users with current installations can go directly to the following link and download the patch or can update through the auto update feature in the Activity Trainer which will direct them to the patch.
For new installations, we are also providing users with our regular installation (and then run the updates), or a complete version of the software directly from our website. The 1.3 GB download will provide you with all of the new activities and does not require any updates to be executed (as of Sept. 2011).

New Activities Included in this Update
These new activities focus on more advanced cutting with scissors skills, specifically teaching the learner to on stay on a line while simultaneously moving the paper to properly cut out each shape. Through these activities, the learner is also learning to recognize different shapes. Each activity under Level 2 follows a sequence of learning to cut out shapes, starting with 1 being an easier activity and moving to more advanced cutting movements. Level 3 activities focus on cutting out more difficult shapes which requires more hand movement; not only to turn the paper, but also to maneuver the scissors between tight lines.
After running your Activity Trainer updates, these activities can be found under the following path:
Academic -> Basics -> Fine Motor -> Cutting -> Scissors -> Paper -> Level 2 and Level 3
As with most of the activities in the Activity Trainer, these were videoed from the learner’s point-of-view for easiest understanding of the required actions.
The new activities include the following:
Level 2
Cut Out Circle 1 – Cut on line to cut out circle placed at bottom of paper.
Cut Out Circle 2 – Cut on line to cut out a circle placed in center of paper.
Cut Out Rectangle 1 – Cut on two lines to cut out a rectangle.
Cut Out Rectangle 2 – Cut on three lines to cut out a rectangle.
Cut Out Rectangle 3 – Cut on four lines to cut out a rectangle.
Cut Out Square 1 – Cut on two lines to cut out a square.
Cut Out Square 2 – Cut on three lines to cut out a square.
Cut Out Square 3 – Cut on four lines to cut out a square.
Cut Out Triangle 1 – Cut on two lines to cut out a triangle.
Cut Out Triangle 2 – Cut on three lines to cut out a triangle.
Level 3
Cut Out Boat Pieces 1 – Cut out the three separate shapes to create a boat.
Cut Out Star 1 – Cut on two lines to cut out a triangle.
